A fork of crystal-blue lightning licked across the sky, sending a shower of dust and rubble to the frozen ground as it struck a distant building.
He pulled the sledge behind him, its blades screeching and squeaking and scraping as he pulled it through the glistening, crunching snow behind him. His arms ached. Muscles screaming in defiance at the burden they must bear. They had been walking for so long. They couldn’t give up now, not now they were so close.

You see the lovely, green valley below you with lots of colourful flowers, just waiting for you to enjoy. You feel the wind blow against your delicate wings.
As the wind touches you, it gently blows away any worries, any stress you feel. Feel how wonderful it feels to be free. Your mind is clear and calm. You have left any worries far behind now.
You are completely peaceful.
Take in a deep breath now and exhale slowly.

One accident, one collision and one fortuitous moment led to a series of unlikely events unfurling: the beginning of the world.
She couldn’t believe her eyes… Tiny little specks appeared on her kitchen table. On closer inspection, these little specks turned out to be people, tiny little people, all feverishly and tirelessly building their world on her table-top. Before long, tiny buildings had been constructed, forests and mountains had grown, and there were even little vehicles making their way across coffee-stained continents.

Choose a snack from your kitchen. Find somewhere in your home where there are no distractions such as the TV, computer or any gaming devices. Take 10 seconds to to pay close attention to the smell and texture of your snack. Now eat your snack in “slow motion”, taking notice of the taste throughout.

Dear Year 6,
Happy New Year!
I hope you have had a lovely Christmas and are well rested.
As school is currently closed, I will be posting your learning on our class page. Once you have completed the activities, I would like you to send me pictures of your work in a private message on Class Dojo and I will give you feedback within 24 hours.
Despite us not being able to be with each other physically, we will be able to be with each other virtually. This week, Mrs Derham will be leading two Zoom meetings daily with you at 9am and 3.30pm and the following week, I will be leading these sessions at the same timings. Mrs Derham will also be leading worship on Zoom every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 11am. The links to these sessions will be posted on Class Dojo.
